Greetings, I will give this another try with a little more info. Does anyone have experiece with Big Sagebrush (Artemisia tridentata) producing a surplus flow. It blooms in Sept-Oct. over here on the Eastside, I doubt you webfoots have any over there! I had Burgett's book on honey plants of PNW but have missed placed it. Could someone who has it, to look up Big Sagebrush and seeing what it says? Thank you

Bettis,
I am not certain about this, but I suspect that you may be confusing "sage" with "sagebrush." I do not know if sagebrush has a good honey flow or not, and since I no longer live west of the Cascades, I do not need to know. But sage, the herb, is suspposed to produce a very light colored and pleasant tasting honey in those areas where it is commercially grown.
I do recall seeing bees placed in areas where sagebrush grew when I lived in Idaho, but I do not know if they were there to work the sagebrush or if they were there to work something else.
