The O.S.B.A. Fall Conference will be held on November 6, 7 &8 at the Oregon Garden Resort, in Silverton, Oregon. This year's theme is "Products of the Hive", with a heavy emphasis on honey. Please take a close look at the agenda. This is a "meat and potatoes" conference. If you attend, plan on leaving with many, many very valuable ideas and tools in your hip pocket to consider in your operations. The speaker line-up is made up of doers; those that report on that which they actually do, have developed and put into practice. Notice that the days have changed this year to Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Please register early. there is a stiff penalty for late registration. This is a conference that you DO NOT want to miss. 2015 Conference Agenda.doc (34.5 KB) Priliminary 2015 Annual Conference Reg.docx (20.49 KB)

One thing in particular to really appreciate about this year's conference: Everyone on the agenda is a doer. No "speakers" or repeaters of others work. This years line up is loaded with the people that make things happen and are coming to the conference to talk about beekeeping 1st person! This is the kind of conference that we really like; one where you go home with several very cool things to incorporate in your bee operation and more observations to remember.
One more thing: If you are going to stay at the Oregon Garden Resort, reserve your room now!! Rooms are limited. Many beekeepers are within driving distance and that is great. But if you need a room, call and reserve it right away!

Hi Harry, I attended the conference for the first time this year. Husband and I had a great time and enjoyed most of the speakers. I heard from other COBKA members that the convention center used for past conferences was better organized and had easier access - but for me the Oregon Garden Resort was a great location. At our local meetings and events I am always greatly embarrassed when we have AV hiccups...so each time a microphone turned off during the OSBA conference I felt a little bit better about our issues I appreciated the recognition of Dr. Sagili - it was great to hear how much support OSU receives from OSBA. Overall we had a great time and will be back for more. Congratulations on becoming President.
