Hi all! Paid registrations for the Formic Acid Seminar that will be held on August 15th in Oregon City are trickling in. Are you planning on attending? This is a very comprehensive, 3 hour seminar on fumigation strategy for varroa and trechael mites. Regardless of the mite treatments that you choose to employ, you will leave with a wealth of meaningful information about the battle. For more information, check out the "events" section of the OSBA website. I will gladly answer any questions that you have about the seminar here also.

Thanks Thom. I say it all the time, and I'll say it here on the message board for anyone to pick apart: Varroa mites are the easiest of all of the pests and diseases to control ONCE YOU FULLY UNDERSTAND THEM AND STAY TUNED TO YOUR INFESTATION LEVELS. At this time, they cause the highest number of colony losses due to "hit or miss" treatments. Bill Ruzika really knows the subject. This is an oportunity for you to really boost your knowlege base; and for a measly 5 bucks!!!

I'm guessing that by now it is too late to preregister by mail, is it possible to show up and register on the day of the seminar? George

I spoke with Harry the other day and he said it is OK to register on site, but it would be a good idea to e-mail him and let him know you will be coming.
I hope Harry checks in to let you know if you need to bring anything. Also check the directions. We had a Honey Bee Workshop there two years ago and it was hard to find the correct street to turn, but then that was a dark rainy night.
