Hey bee-ers! I'll bee seeing the Portland group in September, heard about the park setting meet up on Sat and can not go this time, but September! I wanted to know how we can tell what "kind" of honey our bees are generating? We extracted our first batch Woop Woop! and it is a very tasty light honey. For printed labels, I wanted to say what kind of organic honey it is, but am stumped! Any help here? BEE COOL!

Look within your area of where the bees where located( 2 miles around) that would be your source. If you are in town then it is mix of all the urban floral. How is it organic? No chemical in the hive does not mean organic... Is there no chemical use by anyone in the bees forage area?

Oh, yes I understand better the misnomer of Organic now! So only controlled enclosed bee farms can be called organic? Or maybe if you have 50 acres of land you know to be currently controlled... Our honey is from the North Western outskirts of Happy Valley Oregon... Obviously that area will encompass a bottle or two of Round-Up somewhere... So maybe I can call it "wild flower honey" -that sounds very nice! Thanks uncle Bob!
