What a great start to Bee School. We had 20 registered but had 32 attendees. Dr Dewey Caron presented a spirited and colorful session on bee biology and Paul Andersen (the famous one from recent local newspaper articles and blue ribbon honey awards) gave a great presentation on apiary selection and starting wooden ware. Jerry Maasdam (our bouncer) provided the refreshments and checked registrations at the door.
In our second session next Thursday we will talk about more equipment, hive inspections, installation of nucs and packages, and products of the hive. See you then.
