Boy after reading about what happen to Norm at the fair. I'm sorry I wasn't there to take it all in in its glory. ;D So for the real red question. Extracted the last of the honey today, it is real dark(red when held to light). Does not taste that bad. Looks alot worse then it tastes. Any ideas on what this is from. I leave in an area that has horses, grapes, blackberries. So this honey is from what ever wild weeds live in the fields but I can't say from what weed this red honey is from. ANYONE KNOW? HEHE first for blackberrie honey in the hobby class

My guess would be buck wheat or Japaneese knot weed.

Congradulations Drew! Two other possibilities on the red honey: Susan Rauchfuss, WVBA president lives close to a cannery and some years she has red honey. Also, in a dearth the bees will harvest juices from berries and such. Harry
