Hi all, I'm (very) new to beekeeping, having just installed my first ever package earlier this year. The bees have seemed happy and healthy, and have filled most of one box but I just came home from work to what appears to be a dead queen outside the hive surrounded by a few workers. At first they were just surrounding and touching her, but they've since started to drag her around like they've done with other dead bees. Here's (I hope) a link:https://www.dropbox.com/s/2jkva83l1r6d0me/IMG_2012.JPG?dl=0 I have many questions for you all. First off: this is a queen right? (yes I'm very new). Any idea what could have caused this, or steps I should take to try and diagnose any problems? Should I order a new queen, or hope they raise another? Any other information I can provide to help you all get a better sense of what's going on? Appreciate any input you might have. This is our only hive right now, so this is really troubling. Thanks, -kevin

I can't see your picture. Pull a frame of brood. See eggs or queen cells, don't worry. They either have a queen or will make one. Wait a week. Pull frame or two. See eggs, you have a queen. See queen cells, put back and don't touch for a month and a week.
