Beginners looking for advice

We have a six acre place in the Cheshire area and are looking to get started in hobby beekeeping. We have no idea how to start. Are there classes available in the area? Looking for pearls of wisdom from veteran beekeepers. Thank you, Karen, Hope and Mark
