Nearly 2.5 months ago, I started seeing many dead bees in front of the hive boxes. I've had the hive located on my deck for 2 years, and did not see this last year. The other thing I noticed about the girls is that they seemed - twitchy, is the best term I can think of. About 8 weeks i got into the hive boxes and reversed them. I noticed that there were what appeared to be queen cells and some drone cells. The queen cells were damaged in the switch. 2 weeks later, they swarmed. I was fortunate enough to find a new queen which was installed 2 week after that. I checked into the box a week after intallation and she was laying well. What I continue to see, however, is many dead bees - maybe 50-100 each day - and twitchy behavior. ANY IDEAS OR INFORMATION WOULD BE WELCOMED.
Thank you for your help.
