Hi There is a nest of honey bees in a pipe leading from a bathroom vent to the back of a building in Ashland. Does anybody have any interest in trying to hive them. It might be possible to drive them out of the pipe with some Beegone or smoke. I don't have any exta hive boxes at this time, or any Beegone. Any input will be gladly taken. Building personal are eager to get rid of them and called pest control, but it is illegal to kill honey bees in Oregon right now! Reply back or call me at 482-2521 and page Laurie or email me at laurieb@butlerman.com Thanks a bunch.

Well, the nest was not in the pipe, but under it. Floyd and I spent a while trying to figure it out, but the nest is in a ceiling and is inaccessible. Floyd set up a hive and captured the workers over the weekend. No way to get it out! The queen was a loss. Thanks to everyone who tried to save these bees! Can't win them all.
