So,
I'm on vacation far from Portland and one of my hives swarmed on me. Sadly, by the time I noticed the symptoms there was little I could do.
So, if you get a swarm call near SE 64 & Foster, they are probably from my hives. If you catch 'em, they're yours. But, please let me know so I can stop worrying about them. Unless I hear otherwise, I'll figure they are setting up in some unsuspecting person's garage wall.
Very frustrating!!
thanks, Stu

Stuart, I missed quite a few swarm calls last couple of weeks because of work, but now that I think of it, I did get one from a pest control outfit that services that area (they're the ones who referred me to the hysterical auto parts guys). For sure next season I'll set up a few bait hives in that area--four of my friends live off Foster this side of 82nd and are sure to let me. So be sure to load on the pollen and syrup early next Spring!

Here is the view of the inside of the birdhouse, in 3 weeks they had built 4 frames of brood and 1 frame of honey in this little birdhouse.
