Hello,
I currently live in Hillsboro but my husband and I recently purchased a 10 acre abandoned plum farm out in Banks with the hopes of resurrecting it and eventually building a home on the property. I am interested in bee keeping for the property but don't know the first thing about how to be a bee keeper.
Does your association have the resources to help new people like me? I'd like to attend your meetings but I'm afraid I can't really contribute at this point and would need either a class or someone to show me things in order to get started. I understand the season is just about over but was thinking of learning over the winter and starting a super in the spring.
Let me know,
Stacey

The room is bit tricky to find at first, so give yourself some time. Beginning classes will be starting soon. Most after the first of the year. Our club does a beginning class also, Ruhl offers classes almost 1 every month starting soon. The meetings usually have a topic, but there is always room for questions. A lot of the people in the group are beginners, or with just a few years of beekeeping under there belt. So by all means visit.
