I too have a swarm of bees newly arrived or formed today. I was in the garden yesterday and noticed nothing. The swarm is now sleeping in an easy to reach location against my garden wall. I would like help with their removal without calling a pest removal service. I will accept some trampling in the garden bed; in exchange for humane, non-toxic removal I feel I have to do so. The garden bed contains abundant lavender, where there have always been bees. They were never an issue. Today we have a new phenomenon, which my (grown) children describe as millions of bees in a black cloud. They ran around closing the windows in the house, but still had to (chose to) destroy about 20 bees inside.
Many years ago, I dug up a dirt bee hive inadvertently when digging peony tubers. I developed a severe reaction on account of the number of stings. I dare not risk a self-solution. Thanks for your assistance.
