Hi, all. I'm on the swarm call list and got 2 this morning, both in Newberg. One of the swarms is in the base of a tree - sounds easy. I'd go if I weren't stuck in the office all week. If you're interested, PM me and I'll shoot over the number. The guy with the one in the base of a tree really wants it gone so he can get rid of the tree.
Free bees, giddyup!

Thanks for the swarms.
Actually, the one at the base of the tree ended up being a hive INSIDE the tree. the owner opted to leave them alone since he likes his tree.
The second swarm ended up being the largest I've ever seen. About 1.5 times the size of a basketball. 3 feet off the ground in a butterfly bush. Easy breezy.
Thanks again ORSBA!

Not sure what we are reporting here, but I did a search for bee removal in Newberg and found this.
I found a swarm about 10 feet up in a tree while mowing. I didn't stick around long enough to ID the bees, but they seemed not to be wasp or yellowjacket. Swarmed around me, but didn't attack.
Give me a call if you have info on removing this.
email me if you have info on safely removing this. charley91@gmail.com.
