I notice that my bee are bringing back pollen to the hive today. The pollen is yellow. Watching the hive, it would seem like it is pentiful as most of the bees returning are carrying pollen on both back legs.
Does anyone know what is blooming this time of year? Would pollen this time of year have the same food value as pollen in the spring/summer?

Our bees are also bring in pollen of a green tint when the weather allows. English Ivy is in bloom here and I assume that is the bulk of it.

I noticed a few conifers just drifting pollen all over the place, it was a limey yellow color.
