Greetings! I have the opportunity to establish an apiary in the area about 20 miles east of Medford. Is this a honey producing area? If so, what are the primary nectar producing plants and seasons?

I would be interested to find out more about honey flow down south as well. I am about to move to Ashland. We've had a really great flow in Portland this Spring. Hopefully there will still be some flow in Ashland when I get there.
I have a really nice printout for nectar flows in the Willamette valley - does anyone have one for the S. Oregon?
Thanks, Stu

If it's higher elevation, you'll have a later start to your season. You may want to feed in the spring, or keep your bees in the valley until things start flowering up-country.
