Trying to start up a hive, have the supplies but am lacking a key aspect.The honey bees I am well read into bee keeping and want to make sure to keep the population growing for our food supply, if you have a extra queen please let me know!

Get on the swarm list, that way you can get the bees you want and they get a new home.

Some times swarms take to long and you don't get a call. I would reach out to one of the locals that does splits or sells nuc's it is a much more sure fire way to get bee's. And you will get some help. Swarms are way more liability then people think. If you do it wrong etc. Newbies running around to get swarms is a recipe for disaster. Support your fellow beek by buying a nuc from him, much less waiting.
