My bees died. I saw a few bees flying into the hive today and upon inspection I found my cluster of bees dead and moldy. Last fall, I left two deeps on and a super partially full of honey. When I opened the hive I found the bees dead on the upper deep with mold on some of the frames with pollen and the bees themselves. When I looked at the honey super they would about 7 frames of capped honey. Doesn't anyone know if there is a risk for human consumption? I didn't find mold on the honey super or any of the frames.
Thanks.

It won't hurt you if it is capped and clean but you would be better off devoting the resource to a newly installed colony in my opinion.
