Hello there,
I am new to the area (Phoenix) and am wanting to learn the ropes on beekeeping. Been reading books and watching lots of youtube videos all winter in preparation for the coming spring.
I know there is a beekeepers club in the area, but I cannot find much information about them. Do they have a website? When are meetings and such?
Any information would be great. Looking forward to joining up and stopping by a meeting or two if the schedule allows.
Mike

The local group is the Sourthern Oregon Bee Keepers.
They are a hard group to get a hold of with no website and no way for people interested to get ahold of. Anyway try this email, sobeekeepers@gmail.com.
There is a beginning bee keepers class on April 6th. That would be something to good to attend.
If you have any other questions, PM me and I'll help as best as I can.

SOBA meets the first Monday of every month at 7:30 pm usually at the OSU extension center on Hanley near Jacksonville, and occasionally at the Bear Motel conference room in Grants Pass, as is the case with the next meeting. If you become a member there is a newsletter. They are really not that difficult to get a hold of. All relevant contact are listed on this site.
