Author of "Honey Bee Biology And Bee Keeping"
Dr. Ramesh Sagili - Assistant Professor, Senior Research of Apiculture at Oregon State University
Full day of classroom instruction focusing on bee loss epidemic, swarming, nutrition, Nucs, and emerging technologies.
Sunday, May 1
Beekeeping for the Beginner
Bindy Beck-Meyer, member of Central Oregon Beekeepers Association. Morning of classroom instruction focusing on bee identification, bee hive and its accessories, methods of obtaining bees, and afternoon hive opening.
Hive opening - Please bring protective equipment if you have them, suits, veils, gloves etc. Club has loaner protective equipment available.

Seating is limited to 100 preregistered attendees, and then first come first served, per class.
All participants can attend both classes at no additional cost.
Each class will offer raffle prizes and a chance to meet other beekeepers

Cost: $30 for non-members; $5 for members of Central Oregon Beekeepers Association, per family.
The class cost of $30, includes a 1 year family membership to the CO Beekeepers Association.
